Third Annual Green Gala!

Imagine a stately 1870’s Georgian mansion, lit by candlelight and decorated with fresh organic flowers. Images of environmental activities and events surround you. The bar serves organic wine and beer in the parlour, gourmet sustainable hors d'oeuvres are offered in the dining hall, and live classical music plays in the background.  Welcome to the Green Gala. This special event creates awareness about Tucker House within the community, engaged volunteers and supporters, and is an important fundraiser for educational programs on the environment and sustainability. While touring the historic house, guests in vintage cocktail attire are invited to bid on interesting ecological items in both silent and live auctions.

The 3rd annual Green Gala will take place on Saturday, September 18th from 7  to 10 pm. Tickets are $45 each and include local, organic, and sustainable beverages and hors d'oeuvres.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are still need to support the 2010 Green Gala. The Green Gala Team is in the midst of seeking silent auction donations, sponsors, and decorations. Team Captains are needed to help sell tickets prior to the event. Help is also needed on the day of the event for setting up, serving, and more! Green Gala 2009

The 2nd annual Green Gala was a tremendous success, raising nearly $5000 towards environmental programs and sustainability education.

1st Annual Green Gala: 2008

The first annual Green Gala was held on September 27th, 2008 at Tucker House Renewal Centre. This fundraising event was an opportunity for community members to learn more about the organization, take part in an eco-themed silent auction, and make a financial donation to support Tucker House programs. Special thanks to the Healthiest Home & Building Supplies who sponsored the event and to all the generous contributions from local businesses. The Green Gala raised over $3,000 for environmental programs in our community. Thank you to all the guests who attended the event and all the hard-working and dedicated volunteers involved in organizing the event.
