Country Fun

If you are looking for a unique summer day camp experience for your children or grandchildren, why not consider COUNTRY FUN?  Country Fun is a church-supported day camp where youngsters from 5 to 13 years discover a whole new world through a week or more of outdoor fun and learning in the 31 acres of parkland, woods and organic gardens of historic Tucker House in Clarence-Rockland.

Country Fun Camp Goal: is to help children and their leaders grow in love for God, self, others, and all of creation. Camp leaders benefit from an intensive leadership training, with ample opportunity for developing leadership skills, spiritual and social awareness, ecological responsibility and service to others.

Country Fun has a long history of community service.  It began in 1970 as an “in the country” day camp for inner city children. In 2000 the Camp was renewed with an emphasis on ecological stewardship.

We need your support!

As always, we rely on our faithful supporters to keep the camp going year after year. Please consider how you can get involved in Country Fun as a:

Camper:  County Fun provides a unique ministry of Christian love to children, aged 5-13, from all walks of life.

Volunteer:  Join the Country Fun Camp Committee to make plans and preparations for the camp or offer a few hours of your time to assist with flyer distribution in your church and community.  Volunteers are also essential during the weeks of camp as leaders, house moms, craft helpers, kitchen staff, and overall supervision.  Go back to your days as a kid at camp (or come for the first time!) and help us offer this experience to children this summer! Contact 613-446-2117 x 6.

Donor:  In order to make Country Fun accessible, parents are charged a fee equal to half of what it costs per camper to run the camp.  The rest is raised through grants and donations from individuals, churches, service clubs and community-minded organizations!  Each year we need to raise $10,000 in donations in order to cover our costs.  Every donation helps to develop programs, transport campers and pay our leaders.  Be part of the Tucker House Family Tree by giving to Country Fun.

Leader: We are seeking responsible youth and young adults for volunteer Leader and LIT positions. Participate in camp activities and mentor children in a supportive team environment while gaining valuable leadership training and skills.  Younger teens can take part as a ‘Leader-in-Training.’  Returning and experienced Leaders may be eligible for a stipend. There are plenty of opportunities for youth to fulfill high school volunteer hours by taking part in Country Fun! Contact Diana at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
