Solar H2Ottawa

Using solar heat means less demand for fossil fuels & electricity.  Reducing the amount of fuel you burn means lower GHG emissions, less pollution, and more money in your pocket.  Investing in solar technology also means a bigger payback on the biggest investment of your life – your home.

Solar H2Ottawa is an initiative that aims to inform consumers about the benefits of solar water heating, while also making it cheaper!


Solar H2Ottawa’s goal is to stimulate the installation of 250 solar domestic hot water systems by 2010.  Sustainable Ottawa has partnered with Tucker House Renewal Centre through the Seventh Generation Learning Series to provide FREE educational solar seminars across Ottawa, in both English and French.  These seminars are being supported by a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation and will provide interested individuals with the opportunity to learn about solar hot water heating and find out if it is right for them.
